Terms & Conditions for Submitting Content

Let’s show the world what makes South Africa LEKKER !

1. Fresh Content

  • Videos must be recorded within the last 48 hours
  • Include the date and time of recording in your submission message
  • Do not submit old or recycled clips

2. Ownership & Originality

By submitting a video you confirm:

  • You personally recorded the video or
  • You own the full rights to the video and audio
  • No copyrighted material appears in the video (including music, TV, movies, sports broadcasts, or other creators’ content)
  • File metadata must remain intact to verify the recording date

3. Consent of People Featured

You confirm that:

  • Everyone appearing in the video has agreed to be filmed and shared publicly
  • If minors appear, parent or guardian permission has been obtained
  • The video does not invade anyone’s privacy

4. Content Guidelines

Videos should positively highlight South Africa, such as:

  • Culture
  • Food
  • Scenery
  • Wildlife
  • Daily life
  • Community moments
  • Celebrations

Not allowed:

  • Offensive, unsafe, or explicit content
  • Dangerous activities
  • Filming strangers in private or sensitive situations
  • Harmful or misleading material

5. Permission to Use
(License Agreement)

By submitting your video you grant us:

  • Permission to edit, crop, caption, and combine your video
  • Permission to publish on YouTube and social platforms
  • Permission to include in daily compilations and promotional content
  • Anything that makes South Africa truly… LEKKER!

This license is non-exclusive – you may still use your video elsewhere.

6. Credit & Acknowledgment

You may request:

  • Name credit
  • Username credit
  • Anonymous posting

If no preference is provided, the video may be published without credit.

7. Liability Agreement

You confirm:

  • You obtained all permissions required
  • You accept responsibility for any disputes related to your submission
  • Our platform is not liable for claims arising from false ownership
8. Use & Withdrawal
  • Each video will be used once in a daily compilation
  • Withdrawal after submission is not possible
  • Published compilations will remain online permanently

What Videos Are NOT Allowed (Important)

YouTube is VERY strict here.

You may NOT use:

  • Music playing in the background (radio, car stereo, DJ, TV)
  • Concert clips
  • TV in the background
  • Sports matches on TV
  • Movies in background
  • TikToks they downloaded
  • Memes they didn’t film
  • Drone footage they didn’t record
  • Videos filmed by a friend unless friend also consents
  • Kids at school events (needs parental permission)
  • Videos taken from another social page
